Can’t Miss Events in Auckland This November
There’s something a little bit special about the month of November.
The ‘silly season’ hasn’t quite kicked in but there’s a sense of happiness and anticipation in the air as the holidays draw closer. More people are getting out and about in the mild spring weather, excited to socialise more with friends and family. If you’re looking for things to do in Auckland in November, we’ve pulled together a handy list which ticks a whole lot of boxes. Whether you’re visiting Auckland for one of these events or for something else entirely, we’d love to have you as a guest at the Rose Park Hotel. Located in Parnell, we’re close to the CBD so you’ll never have far to travel.
The Dancing Queen Dining Experience
There’s nothing better than dinner and a show… Except for dinner, a show and dancing to top it off! A ‘Mamma-Mia’-inspired restaurant has arrived at La Zeppa Kitchen and Bar in the centre of Auckland, offering a fun-filled night out for just $99 per person! You’ll get to watch an incredibly entertaining show that ABBA-lovers will adore, indulge in a two-course Greek feast then dance the night away. If you love live entertainment and kicking up your heels, this is one of the best things to do in Auckland in November 2022.
Rugby World Cup at SkyCity
Rugby fanatics, look no further than the famous SkyCity for all your Rugby World Cup needs! Somewhat confusingly, the 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup kicked off in October 2022 with finals to take place in the first couple of weeks of November. SkyCity is the place to find all the action—every single game is being played live at Andy’s Burgers and Bar. Kids (and kids-at-heart) will love testing their goal-kicking skills in the middle of the SkyCity plaza, where prizes are up for grabs! If you’re looking for memorabilia, merchandise and autographs from the Black Ferns players themselves can be found at the All Blacks Experience.
Dumpling Workshop
It wouldn’t be a list of the best November activities in Auckland without including one for the foodies! Discover where dumplings meet art at this workshop at the Gus Fisher Gallery, held to celebrate the final day of the ‘Creation Stories’ and ‘Reconnecting’ exhibitions. Drop in any time between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday 19th November to learn about traditional dumpling folding techniques, taught by The Booth artist Ana Carmela Garcia and her mother.… And make sure you stick around for the taste-test afterwards!
The Tuning Fork Great Music Quiz
The Tuning Fork hosted a successful music quiz back in May, and it’s back again on Wednesday the 16th of November! Gather all your music-loving friends and family for a night full of tunes, laughter, good food, and drinks. Hosted by Brendon Green, the quiz will include questions from music from the 80s to today. So put together a team with knowledge across the years for your best chance at winning some epic prizes! Tables are limited and likely to sell out, so book soon to secure your place!
The Killers Concert
If music is your jam, you won’t want to miss this November event! Select tickets remain available for The Killers’ upcoming Auckland concert at Spark Arena. You might want to consider chucking a Tuesday sickie because the band is back in Auckland for one night only on Monday 21st November. Having headlined massive global festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury and more, these guys sure know how to put on a show and an unforgettable night out!
Gin Popup at Lula Inn
From the 1st of October to the 13th of November, the vibrant Lula Inn on the Auckland Viaduct is hosting a ‘Mediterranean Moments’ gin pop-up. Hosted by Spanish gin company Larios, you can mix a delightful concoction at the ‘Gin it Yourself’ Terraza bar and sip it while soaking up the views from the over-water deck. There are live DJs every Friday from 5pm until 7pm, so it’s the perfect spot for a late afternoon drink to mark the end of another week.
